A Bad Day at Sawangan

# A bad day happened at Sawangan
written by Rofiqoh

I got a traffic accident on wednesday , the third of September 2014. I will tell you the chronological of the story. It was twelve o'clock in my third day of final examination, and just had finished. I had prose as the subject of the exam and felt glad for passed it without any valuable obstacle. So I rode my motorcycle started from pamulang university to my lovely home in Sawangan. I rode it relaxly as usual in speed 40 km/h. Actually, I had a schedule for teaching in fronpid villa Pamulang at 3 p.m. two hours later, but I decided to came back home first because I do not like to wait something too long. I rode my motorcycle savely until I arrived in Bojongsari and I remembered had to called at Giant departement store to took same money via ATM. So I set my sign lamp wanted to across the road. But suddenly from the opposite way another motorist in high speed smashed me uncontrolly and constantly everything became so dark. As I remember, I saw my father's panic face infront of me when I opened my eyes and aware I was in the RSUD Depok. I felt like there was a giant hammer hitting my head at the time because of such sick I had never felt before. My father took me home and again, I saw my mother’s pale face as we arrived at home. Then I laid on my bed, still felt headache and sometimes vomited. I imagined the accident once more, and felt very frightened. It was like Allah took my soul immaditely and I couldn’t feel anything, how if He never put me back?

I saw watch on the wall and suddenly realized that it was 3 p.m. I asked my sister to phone fronpid and said that I couldn't teaching. In fact, it was my first day and I missed it, what a day! From my father's story finally I knew that I fainted two hours and he knew my accident from people who were there in the location of accident and helped me. They phoned my father using my mobile phone and went my house by looking my adress in my ID card. And the bad driver? I ever never seen his face, my father also. We don’t know him at all. I got wound on my waist and my left foot. But, I thank to Allah who still gave me a chance and I'm alive, and hope there's nothing bad will happen in my head because sometimes I still feel headache. Finally, all I want to say is that I hate to take medicine, but I have to. I feel so sad because I missed three subjects in my final examination, and just hope I can still achieve my goal in this semester : get IP no less than 3.5.

Love and Harmony

LOVE AND HARMONY
By: William Blake

Love and harmony combine
And round our souls entwine
While thy branches mix with me
And our roots together join

Joys upon our branches sit
Chirping loud and singing sweet
Like gentle streams beneath our feet
Innocence and virtue meet

Thou the golden fruit dost bear
I am clad in flower fair
Thy sweet bought perfume the air
And the turtle buildeth there

There she sits and feeds her young
Sweet I hear her mournful song
And thy lovely leaves among
There is love, I hear his tongue
There his charming nest doth lay
There he sleeps the night away
There he sports along the day

There doth among our branches play

THE ANALYSIS OF “LOVE AND HARMONY”
The poem that entitled “Love and Harmony” almost in this poem using connotative meaning because that is not real meaning of the word that used in this poem. This poem use symbol in the sentence.

The theme in this poem “Love and Harmon” this time, the dialect is marriage, and the poet is examining the interrelationship between love, freedom and harmony.

In this poem Blake use the quatrain stanza because, the poem is simple but full of meaning.

Workaholism

UNIT 3

Most workers spend eight or nine hours on the job. They work because it’s unavoidable. They need to make enough money for necessities: food, rent, clothing, transportation, tuition, and so on. They spend about one-third of their lives at work, but they hate it. They complain and count the minutes until quitting time each day or the days until their next vacation.

By contrast, there are some people who actually enjoy work-in fact, they love to work. They spend many extra hours on the job each week and often take work home with them. These workaholics are as addicted to their jobs as other people are drugs or alcohol.

In some urban centers, workaholism is so common that people do not consider it unusual: They accept the lifestyle as normal. Government workers in Washington DC, for example frequently work sixty to seven hours a week. They don’t do this because they have to: they do it because they  want to. Hundreds of workaholics in New York City tried to go to work even in the famous blackout of 1977. There was no electricity-no air conditioning, elevators, or lights-but  many people went to their office anyway. They sat impatiently on the steps outside their office buildings and did paperwork or had business meetings.

Workaholism can be a serious problem. Because they true workaholics would rather work than do anything else. They probably don’t know how to relax: that is, they might not enjoy movies, sports, or other types of entertainment. Most of all, they hate to sit and do nothing. The lives of workaholics are usually stressful, and this tension and worry can cause health problems such as heart attacks or stomach ulcers. In addition, typical workaholics don’t pay much attention to thief families. They spend little time with their children, and their marriages may end in divorce.
